Years 7–9 Placement Test

Purpose
A quick, friendly diagnostic to understand each student’s current level before lessons begin.

How it works

• 3 mini blocks by year (Y7, Y8, Y9).

• 10 short quizzes per block: English, Chinese, Malay, Mathematics, Science.

• Each quiz has 5 very simple questions.

What we assess

• English literacy & comprehension

• Chinese vocabulary & sentence understanding

• Malay language foundations

• Mathematical reasoning & number sense

• Science observation & logical thinking

What you’ll receive

• A clear Strengths & Focus Areas report by subject and year level

• Suggested next steps (e.g., reading practice, vocabulary drills, maths exercises, science activities)

Tips for parents

• Let your child try independently; it’s not an exam.

• Use a quiet space and, if possible, a tablet or computer.

• If your child is unsure, encourage them to make their best guess.
